01What to send for a useful first reply
Dimensioning and sorting quotations are configuration exercises. The more of the following your first message carries, the more specific the first reply can be:
- Freight profile — parcel or pallet size range (smallest and largest), weight range, and the awkward items: soft, long, fragile, irregular.
- Volume — daily and peak-hour throughput, and how parcels arrive (benches, totes, bulk, conveyor).
- Destinations — for sorting projects, the destination count today and expected growth.
- Site — building dimensions or a layout sketch, levels, and the dock arrangement for loading equipment.
- Systems — the shipping platform, WMS or carrier systems the measurement records must reach.
02What happens after you write
Your profile is reviewed against the current Goodscan range. We come back with the configuration that fits — machine or line, layout where relevant — and a quotation stating specification, interfaces and lead time. If the profile points outside our range, we say so plainly rather than quoting the nearest machine. For standard machines, supply starts from a single set; project lines are quoted as engineered systems, per the whole-line model described on the conveyor systems page.
